These are my current interests and undertakings (in no particular order as of July, 2026).

• Tinkering on this site using Obsidian and the Digital Garden plugin to create my own digital garden website. I enjoy the set up process, figuring out all the different settings, and styling options. I think I have most of the set up sorted at this point and now I have to start populating notes and such. Being a free past time has been the main attraction for me to get started.
• Updating my main website carolynapappas.com. This is still in progress.
• Writing and publishing my biweekly Substack publication (basically like a blog).
• I switched to a Mac for all my personal computing earlier this year and I'm learning about the operating system.
• As part of my switch to the Apple ecosystem, I've moved all my reference photos to Apple photos and I'm organizing everything into albums.
• And of course, the interest that I have never abandoned since childhood, my artwork. I have been trying to finish a sketchbook recently. Over the past few years, I've also become interested in making digital art on Procreate. I publish most of my newly created artwork on my Substack site.

Past interests (I may return to these again, but I'm not 100% certain.)

• Miniatures (I still love viewing other people's work, but I have no interest to create my own at this point. This is mostly due to the time it would take away from my personal art.)
• Sewing/crafty projects. I used to be interested in making things like felt stuffies, fabric dolls, doll clothes, and other crafty project around dolls. I think I was interested in these things when my daughter was young because I enjoyed making her handmade toys. Now, I have decluttered most of my sewing supplies and no longer have a huge interest.
• Learning Koine Greek. I started a self study on this last year and I abandoned the project, but I would like to pick it up again.
